The
X1000 mono block power amplifier, first in the ¡§X¡¨ series from Pass
Labs, was chosen as the proper temple to showcase a new concept in high
performance audio amplification. Supersymmetry, the patented circuit
topology featured in all ¡§X¡¨ series amplifiers, uses highly matched
components in a classically simple balanced Class A circuit. The X1000
will deliver 1000 watts into an 8-ohm load and 2000 watts into 4 ohms.
For higher power operation, X1000 mono block amplifiers can be arrayed
for even greater power needs.
Massive
in all respects, the X1000 is a bold statement of art, science and
creative genius. It is the first of the long-line of X-series
amplifiers, and was created to demonstrate that high-power,
high-performance solid-state electronics could be developed using
elegantly simple circuit design. Years of design research and
experimentation have gone into the development of the Supersymmetric
circuit, and the X1000 is the benchmark of that technology.
