The
XA 160 mono block amplifier is a smaller and more physically manageable
implementation of the XA 200. It delivers 160 watts into an 8-ohm load,
and like the XA 200, cannot be induced to provide additional power under
any operating circumstances.
The
emphasis of all the amplifiers in this new series is to accentuate
performance over power. Characteristics of this series include the warm
midrange and sweet top end of the Aleph product, combined with the
extreme dynamic range and definitive bass control of the X series
amplifiers.
Supersymmetry,
the patented circuit topology that is the cornerstone of the X-series,
appears again in this new series of amplification, adding dynamic range,
bass authority and control, and accurate detailing in support of the
lush Class A output stage electronics. The XA 160 is built in the same
chassis as the Pass X600 and X350, and presents form and function in a
striking balance.
